Daily Obsessions Sunday Edition

I don't usually devote an entire post to my loves of the day but I figure that this is a bigish post and can stand on it's own. So here we go...

* Interested in Upgrading to Windows 7 on the cheap? Are you a student? (I looove being a student!) Then get on over to http://www.win741.com/ to pre-order your $30 copy of Windows 7 Home premium or Windows 7 Professional. You must have a valid .EDU email address to qualify.

* I just broke down and bought an Incase slider case for my beloved iphone and I adore it! It is worth the $35 price tag. It feels wonderful to the touch, it is not cheaply made like all my previous cases from various brands, and it looks super nice! I got the white one if anyone is interested - it looks awesome when plugged into the charger cable because the white just continues... I am a dork. Check it out!

* If you are a magazine freak like I am then you might die when you hear this... you can get a year subscription to InStyle right now for $5. You read right. Through amazon you can get a piece of this awesome deal. I already ordered mine so hop to it! Also, a little tidbit if you didn't already know - amazon is always having good deals on magazines (like 2 yrs of Cosmo for $15, etc) so check back often.

So I need to be getting of the computer and into bed but there we go, my obsessions of the day. My day was so very exciting. Good night!

Topped with Interest

When I first got into fashion, actual fashion and not wear AE and A&F because everyone else does kind of this, I bought into the idea that most of what I needed in my wardrobe were basics. So I bought basics. White tees, gray tanks, black sweaters, etc. There was a little color in there to be sure via my favorite purple cashmere sweater and colored tees and such but they lacked interest and I basically had a wonderful closet full of drab. And I felt drab to be honest. It wasn't until a few MONTHS later that I realized something - I need interesting tops.

Okay, I am not dim witted or the like, at least I don't think so. Nevertheless I am wondering how it took me so long to come up with this conclusion. Isn't that pretty self explainatory? You want interesting clothes in your closet, for sure. Regardless of how I got there or how long it took me I got there and I am pleased to annouce that I have interesting tops to wear! And I am an interesting topaholic. Self professed.

I have been shopping around lately because since school has started I have been needing some retail therapy, the intense kind. Here are some tops that make me happy and will hopefully be mine soon...

Fall Trend: Exposed Zippers

I have always been a fan of this trend. I am a pretty girly person and for the majority of my life I have dressed fairly preppy. I don't always enjoy being the prep though. I am not one to go all out crazy with fashion, it just is not me. I do however like to add little things to my ensemble to make it slightly more tough: enter the exposed zipper.

I can wear my girly skirts - with an exposed zipper down the back - which instantly adds interest and a little bit of a rocker feel - not to mention a little sex appeal. The exposed zipper is an easy way to add a little something to your outfit without overdoing it.
These are some of my favorites but there are TONS of options out there right now.

In Order: Kimchi Blue $58; F21 Draped Zip Top $26; Urban Renewal $38; Artemis Warrior Dress $60

Bring Flickr beauty on the go!

Flickr released it's iphone/ipod touch app today in the app store! I for one am seriously excited. I have been waiting for this for a while and have diligently held off on settling for a third party version. I am downloading it now, I hope it was worth it!

Speakers are Love

Check it out. Ipod speakers! I find this incredibly creative and yet simple, funny how that works, huh? If I had $40 lying around (that I wasn't planning on using for clothes) I would snag these up. For now though I will continue playing my music through the ihome. It matches my room better but it is not nearly as neat.
